“Turn on your sound”

This is the homepage of my website.

Bob’s Homepage
Hi My name is Robert, known to my family and friends as “Bob”

I have compiled a series of photos of my paintings and decided to display them on the web.

Some of the photos were taken at random with the best available equipment at the time.

The paintings are displayed in various categories which can be selected by using the navigation bar on the left hand side of the web pages.

I use oils, acrylics, pastels and water colours etc for my paintings; I tend to err on the side of oils as a preferred medium of choice.

After retiring, I started to paint more seriously and took a tip from some of the worlds top artist by copying some of the great masters of art, such as the impressionists Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh and Degas etc.

This I found helped me to develop a variety of techniques which in turn gives the ability to adapt various degrees of style, of which, I've used to suit my art work studies, it also helps to develop a unique style with added extras.

Included are a variety of after paintings which I’ve displayed in some of the following pages, marking these as “After Paintings” some have had modifications etc.

Monet said “I wish I could paint like the birds sing”

I tend to view art as listening to music, some classical, highbrow, while others display contemporary, traditional and modern views.

The written text and information accompanying the pictures has been compiled by myself and with some being taken from other sources such as books and extractions from the internet itself
