Paintings with a  Clarice Cliff Theme

The Latona Tree

The name Latona is derived from one of the pottery glazes that was developed and used by Clarice, hence this is the reason I have titled this painting “The Latona Tree”

To create the desired effects for these paintings it was necessary to use vivid vibrant colours by laying them down onto the canvas using a light impasto glazed method, this gave to the painting a more translucent feeling.
